Alberta Ferretti Fall 2025: Lorenzo Serafini’s Dreamy Debut
Stepping into the legacy of an icon is no small feat, but Lorenzo Serafini embraced the challenge with grace, presenting a debut collection that honored Alberta Ferretti’s romantic DNA while infusing it with his own contemporary sensibilities. Held at the historic Palazzo Donizetti, a venue deeply intertwined with Ferretti’s past, the show was an evocative display of heritage and modernity coalescing into something truly breathtaking.

Serafini, who confessed to feeling "more than anything!" nervous when we spoke to him in his showroom after the show, delivered a collection that was anything but uncertain. He stayed true to the house’s classic codes—flowing, sheer fabrics in ethereal silhouettes—while incorporating fresh, modern elements, like intricate beading reminiscent of Prada’s signature embellishments. The result was a harmonious dialogue between past and future, proving that Serafini not only understands Ferretti’s legacy but is also ready to write its next chapter.
From the first look, it was clear that this was a collection built on movement and emotion. Sheer chiffon cascaded effortlessly, while soft tailoring wrapped around the body with sensual ease. Delicate beading, layered cashmere, and billowy forms defined the lineup, evoking a sense of effortless sophistication. It was an ode to romance—one that felt airy, enchanting, and whimsical, yet undeniably modern.

Ferretti’s mastery of femininity was evident in every stitch, but Serafini introduced a new perspective: an innate understanding of how to make women feel beautiful without veering into nostalgia. His craftsmanship celebrated the female form in a way that felt timeless, reinforcing the house’s identity while ensuring its relevance in today’s fashion landscape.
Among our favorite looks, Hayley selected two standout pieces for The Styled by Collective’s exclusive pre-order selection: Look 8 and Look 44, both embodying the ethereal elegance of the collection. Megan’s personal favorite, Look 3, was a vision of sophisticated femininity. And for one of our clients, we secured an impossibly elegant coat that we know will be a cherished addition to their wardrobe.

One piece, however, stood out as the ultimate red carpet moment: Look 45, a gown so breathtaking we are eagerly waiting for its inevitable debut at Cannes.
Serafini’s collection was a love letter to the Ferretti woman—sophisticated yet effortless, sensual yet refined. His debut not only paid homage to the house’s heritage but also signaled an exciting new chapter. If this is what the future of Alberta Ferretti looks like, we can’t wait to see what comes next.
